People’s Convention

Illinois for Bernie People’s Convention

Join hundreds of Bernie supporters from across the state as they converge for the 4 year anniversary of the first IL4B convention back in 2015. You will rally with a dynamic group of activists, participate in breakout groups that will be the impetus for later organizing work, and much more. And, best of all, you will get to spend the day building power with like-minded Illinoisans!

PLEASE NOTE: Sen. Bernie Sanders will NOT be in attendance. A few of the caucus meetings will take place just before the event start time (11am-12pm); attendees will receive a full schedule via email a few days prior to the event.

SPEAKERS

Brand New Congress endorsed candidate and star of the documentary ‘Knock Down the House,’ Cori Bush; Vice Chair of the DeKalb County Democratic Party, J.J. Wett; Board Member of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Dominique Coronel; DSA member and Brand New Congress endorsed candidate Anthony Clark, member of Graduate Employees’ Organization Local 6297, Allan Axelrod, and Vermilion County Democratic Party Chair, Germaine Light!
